King Tiger (henschell)
Re: King Tiger (henschell)
You could try Shapeways? Altho sanding and filling some ejector pins marks is not that big of a deal... you want to get a small grinding bit in your Dremel and go slow. On that note; the metal tracks are easier to work with.
Just a warning; Shapeways is a rabbithole you consider warily and with your hand on your wallet. So many shiny upgrades...

The dremel is a good idea but a detail abrasive brush in your dremel is a better way of removing marks because unlike a file or an abrasive disc it will just leave a polished surface.
I think I am about to upset someone

Shapeways is a central clearing house for all things "3D Printed" ,
You pick what you want from their website and place an order,
They commission the original person who printed the object to print your order and Shapeways box it and invoice you for the item/s.
It can be expensive but it is my first port of call when I need 3D upgrades for my PZ4 builds.

Anything that's included with mine suitable? I will probably try and fill/sand the plastic ones I have first.jarndice wrote:The dremel is a good idea but a detail abrasive brush in your dremel is a better way of removing marks because unlike a file or an abrasive disc it will just leave a polished surface.

Also while we are on the Dremel subject what size drill bit would be suitable to make the shell impact marks on the hull?

Either one of the two brushes on the left should do but the detail Dremel brush is a better choice because in effect it is a multi layer set of Sand Paper swatches on a disc,NAB wrote:Anything that's included with mine suitable? There are different grades available.

Re: King Tiger (henschell)
I offered £60 on ebay for some metal KT tracks upgraded sprockets and idlers with bearings and it was accepted!
I thought this was a good price? If anyone wants to see if they can get them for the same price the name of the seller is in the screenshot.

Re: King Tiger (henschell)
I hope they fit because my experience of Mato parts is that very few Mato Parts are compatible with Heng Long/Taigen Armour.

Oh great lol. Well it says Heng long on the advert as well so will be getting returned if they don't fit.
Filling the plastic tracks is a pain. I tried grey tamiya putty but I don't like working with it. It goes thick quite quickly and pulls out the holes. Can it be used with a little water?
I've had more success with milliput but don't know how easy it will be sanding it down.
