New, ofcourse, from Russia/Netherlands
Hi,
Finally found this nice forum so here we go.
I am born in the Netherlands but moved to Russia.
I live in Barnaul, Russia at the moment.
I would like to buy a tank somewhere next year, seems we have to built a house first
Regards,
Jaap

And a heartfelt welcome to you, Jaap! I am thousands upon thousands of kilometers away in Wisconsin, US. I wish right now the tension between the US and Russia were less, because the people have so much in common. Do keep posting here. House..? Won't a shack do, with a big modeling room?

A Warm welcome, Jaap- and warmth is what you will need in Barnaul, in Winter. I guess
I just looked it up on Google maps, and it's in Southern Siberia. Your new house will need good insulation, and so will your future model tanks

Thanks, and yes I wish the same, people from both countries are great, only governments are making it very difficult.
Hmm, for me shack with a large space to built things would be nice, unfortunately my wife is officially the director of our company, so nope, is not gonna work

To be honest the tank(s) will be winter projects as we run a company that organizes trips in to the mountains in summer. so not much free time usually.

I just looked up various sites about Barnaul, including the typical annual weather. In the US, the joke was often about being sent in exile to Siberia. Oh-oh! Barnaul winter weather is much like Wisconsin—but Barnaul is more moderate and less humid during the summer. I’m the one exiled to Whitewater, Siberia!
