Panzer tracts books scale

Post by Edumardo »

Hi all,

I have several prints(not the original book) of panzer tracts drawings in 1/35 and 1/10 scale and I'm a bit confused with the measurements. If you have any of the original books, could someone tell me how long this distance is in both scales?. I mean the measure attached.

Thanks in advance!

Not sure that attachment actually helps, I get a different size depending on which monitor I view it on - 25.3mm on a 24" 1900x1200 monitor, or 22mm on a 27" 2560x1440 - if your screen is any different, then you will get a different measurement.

Maybe I've explained myself wrong. I think my blueprint dimensions are not printed correctly. In the attached image (from 1/35 drawing) you can see that the distancie is 27,5 mm aprox, bit It isn't a inch nor a cm.

Without seeing the rest of the drawing, its impossible to say what the scale is supposed to be.

At a guess I would say that 1 increment would equal 1 meter in full size. Using that assumption and some basic dimensions from wikipedia, you should be able to a) figure out the actual scale of your image, and b) check that the horizontal and vertical scaling are correct (i.e. the picture has not become distorted when scanned in)
