If you do the recoil mod Matt, one word of warning take it slow and careful. I damaged the main gear on mine, and after a lot of swearing and a couples of hours of tinkering I fixed it. Its a pricey bit of kit to replace.
Im still trying to decide if I like the porsche turret or not. I think the henschel turret is much nicer.
Cheers,
Rik

Looking really good Matt. I think I like the Porsche turret better than the Henschel - looks more streamlined despite the shot-trap underneath the mantlet. I certainly agree with Rik about the recoil mod though - take it slow and easy - I've learned with bitter experience too! Have a look at Glory71's Jagdpanther build for how he did the recoil mod.

Cheers

Hey Matdragon , it looks like you have your hands full, but you are off to a good start. You can order the R/C sprues that have the barrel and connections for the recoil set up. You will also need the recoil mounting plate if you don't already have it. Most of the time there is a seller on evil-bay that sells all the parts separately. As for the recoil set up I will take pics and let you know how its done. I didn't think people would be intrested so I put it back together without counting teeth and taking pics.
You have nothing to fear, but fear its self. Or maybe a KT too!

Hey Matdragon, did you say you bought a sprue, was it 56017 F Parts Tree? If it was it has the R/C parts for the barrel. See if they will work in the turret.

MatDragon

This is a conversion I'm doing myself- twin clutch Porsche to full option
I made thing easier by buying a new hill top and the full option barrel mounting sprue then scratch building the rest and getting the recoil and elevation to work.
By buying the new hull top you have the chance to open up the two forward hatches and the engine bay hatch. I am of course going to scrap the speaker box and make my own to fit round the low relief engine
