Can I suggest you get a book titled The German 88 gun in combat by Janusz Piekalkiewicz isbn 9780887403415
It is a brilliant book covering the 88mm there is a concise history of the gun and more importantly lots of photos of the gun in use.
It was used on all fronts from starting in the Spanish Civil War right up to the fall of Berlin indeed the last shot of the war were probably an 88mm from a bunker at the berlin zoo.
There are lots of possibilities for a winter project!

Re: 88mm flakpanzer
Excellent find Ian where did you get them? These pictures are a worthy argument; they have cut the entire fighting compartment away to get the gun in place so the driver wouldn’t have had any armour in front or to the sides, do you know anything about it which unit it belonged to, I can see that it’s in a collection point in France and possibly in the American sector also the gun is a Flak 37, I cant make out any Zimmerite on the tank, the bottom two pictures are the same tank but is the top picture the same tank before the tracks where removed

Ian,
I noticed that in the first picture but not the last two which is why I thought there may have been two but then it could have been moved with the tracks
