Ronnie, the whole thing about 3D printing is that you can get something that you can’t buy.
If you want what doesn’t need prep for paint or is as strong as steel you’re fresh out of luck...
Well, if you hang around for 10 or 15 years metal printers should be cheap enough to buy lol

Take a look at resin printers, will give you the finish you want but if you stand on them they will break

Hi midlife Its just that most people invariably attach the word fragile to 3D stuff. I can see why some make the jump to 1/6 as everything is much bigger and i suppose its stronger. Was wondering about the raw materials available. Its the prep after printing thats stops me buying.

For me the 3D thing is that if you can imagine it-you can make it .

Catherine did some nice detailing and weathering of parts for our Field Kitchen today, looks really cool.
