M4 "Zielbeobachtungspanzer" BW

Post by xhelfix »

Hi,

at the weekend i build an Tamiya sherman......into a not often seen tank.

I get the chassi from an kollege, ist modifyed with an other gear, t66 tracks, and some upgrade parts.

I was not shure what i want to build, i have somme more Shermans already, with long and short guns....so i want something thats not common and maybe not green, want an M4 with camo ore something.
So i search the internet for somethimg and ....found it....

In germany on the tank-gun-shot-testgrounds in Meppen ther was an M4 modifyed, to look at the rounds that come to the targe. To have a closer look If they "in" ore not, but with some protection.
So the M4 is without gun and in screamy colours, that the tanks dont think its an target.....

So here is the original:

Some more picture n the museum:

I dont want to build it scale.....just look a bit like the one.
I use an realy old and use upperhull, and an old turret...but the turret was not complet, and i have no sherman kuppel left, so an M41 kuppel finds its way to it.

The start:

And with colour and wethering:

I think its an cool M4, not standart 8)

Haha! Initially I thought it was a fire-fighting panzer, maybe one used by Red Adair. Nice work and fast too!

Wow, all that to make fun of allied armour. . . .

At least us Brits treated our captured Tunisian Tiger with respect, and 77 years later it is the only working Tiger 1 in the world. . . .

:haha: :haha: :haha: only joking, that looks great

I'm almost afraid to ask why the M41 cupola is a shocking shade of pink in that one picture :wtf:

There is actually some interesting stuff built on Shermans: Cranes, bulldozers, etc.

That means it had an automotive system that worked :haha:

The pink cupola is interesting, maybe we should show Herman... Maybe he will start that Pink Sherman?

Just don't drop the soap!
