Re: Panzergruppe Tarraco scenery: the Panzodrom
hello chaps
one of our club members has started this project while in confinement at home, a port crane for the river's harbour!
the pics show how this will be developing, the differents parts are held together with tape, the screws are also temporary
it has a lot of 3D printed parts, and also some 'emergency solutions' with what is available in his house. He is a gardener, so he has this concrete protection of a sprinkler and will use it as a base for the crane. This part will be fixed to the dock, so he thought, what to use as pivot for the turret crane? here you are what he has found...
a cap designed and printed so the can has a tight fit on the hole
the mechanism of an ikea dishes rotary platform will do the job to rotate the crane
the workers building the crane arm
also the crew's room walls
the roof
the stairs
the room structure
the crane linkages
some more general views
that's all for now!
best regards

Really interesting design, and it looks amazing!
Re: Panzergruppe Tarraco scenery: the Panzodrom
thanks guys!
he is thinking in motorize the crane, for rotation, elevation and also for pulling the hook. If not immediately, in the future...
i'm impatient to see this thing on the docks!
best regards

07x Essenträger food container
14x jerrycan
03x torn.fu.d2
06x 12cm GrW42 ammo boxes
05x 15cm sFH18 ammo boxes
28x 15cm Gr.36 FES
43x 15cm Gr.36 FEW
06x M87 rocket container
01x 200l fuel drum
14x 8,8cm KwK36 ammo boxes
18x 8,8cm Sprgr. Patr. L/4.5
42x 8.8cm Pzgr. 40 FES
63x 8,8cm FlaK36 ammo boxes
43x 8,8cm FlaK36 ammo containers
all well stuffed in a box, waiting to be able to go out so i will finish all the positions left...
there are still 24 more ammo boxes for the 88's, lots of wood crates for the ship and pier, 16 rockets for the 28cm sWG41, and more items waiting out of reach to be painted...
related to the crane, a few more pics of the development...
installing and old HL gearbox for the cable&hook movements, with a designed and installed roller for the cable
and an HL turret ring installed for the rotation of the crane
that's all for today
best regards

Oh wow. This is going to be more like an exhibition diorama than a play ground

The wood planking over the 3D printed cabin is a nice touch
