Allthough I have a Tiger, the RX-18 cpu is the real question,I have used three different motors at this point and have never had the problem you describe or that I hear in your vidio,I have the 3:1 ratio steel gear boxes that should be basically the same as yours,it would seem to me something is binding,re stricting motor function,or maybe the signel is just bleeding a small amount of power win you don't have enough stick movement.I tried to make my Tank duplicate what your is doing with no positive outcome. You could pull one motor out and apply power and see if the free motor turns at the same stick position as the motor still mounted. That would tell you if its a binding issues or just power bleeding thru without enough voltage to effect true power to the motor? just a guess, hope it helps.sax

I think you're right and it is binding. It sure sounds like its trying to spin but can't. There is also a small amount of movement from the tiny gear on the motor when it does that sound. Guess I'll just wait until the grease arrives. Until then I'm not running it, last thing I need is to blow a board. In the mean time I can paint.

Thanks.

I agree with you on that, and painting is what I'm doing. Also I did run my gearboxes in for two hours after adding grease to the gears, after that every thing ran smooth.sax
