Printer reviews

Post by Dusty Steppes »

I have been looking into 3D printing and found this site. With all the different models that are out there it can be difficult to make an informed decision on what you may actually end up with once you make the purchase. I stumbled across this and thought it would be worth sharing. Hope it helps.

You’ve got to start with a budget, and then consider the availability of spares & upgrades. Also what you’re going to uses it for.
Filament vs Resin etc etc
Enjoy

As it stands right now Creality offers the best options for me. There is a company here in the states that appears to have a solid reputation in regards to spare parts, mechanical and firmware upgrades and tech support.

In regards to printing surfaces, are the magnetic beds with flexible spring steel the best option?

I have downloaded OpenSCAD and that seems like a good place to start in terms of 3D CAD.

As for slicers I am looking for opinions.
