Hi everyone just joined up today. Looks like you guys in Europe are very active in this hobby so I chose this site to learn about it. I have not made my first purchase because I wanted to get feedback from you bloats first lol. Anyway what place on the the forum would be best to discuss first time buy?

Welcome - I'd hope that we're mostly 'blokes'(and ladies) rather than 'bloats'!

Hi Booby, Welcome to the Forum
First of all Bloats is far to close to the truth for some of us but I know what you really meant,
If you want answers to more mundane subjects your first port of call should be "General Questions" and don't worry too much if your questions are in the wrong section because one of the Moderators will move it to the correct place on the Forum.
Jimster has given you the link to one of the USAs best and most helpful dealers in the country,
"IMEX ERIC" is the man in charge of the Tank section and he will be only to pleased to help, Just ask.
Talking of help we are here 24/7 so if its just for a chat or sorting out a problem just stop by.
You will soon discover that there are many Americans and Canadians on the Forum although in truth we have members from across the globe and we all try to help advance our hobby,
It can get heated but never nasty,So join in

if you like German WW2 armour, than I cannot recommend highly enough the Taigen Tiger 1 mid version, has great detail, lots of metal parts and runs like a champ, It's my first tank purchase and it surely will not be my last.

Hello and welcome to the forum Mr Boobytrap
One thing that would help with first purchase advice, is whether or not you'll want to make it realistic and accurate, maybe an historical piece? Or, whether you want something to run around and play with in the dirt.
And that can make a difference, along with a budget.
Enjoy the forum.
