Brass Challenger

Post by Ragnar »

Found this section on train’s earlier so thought I’d jump in here with a picture of one of my Brass steamers, a DRGW L105 Challenger. Erected by Kumatsa and imported by Max Gray in 1960.
Custom painted and has had a digitrac heavy steam sound decoder with DCC installed.
For an 50 year old model it’s an excellent running piece of equipment.

Very nice! I’ve always been impressed with brass locomotives but never had the coin to actually get one. Do you have a layout to run her on? Being equipped with DCC I figure you do.

Gosh, I've always liked those big boy brass locos. They were about 1200 pounds or dollars about 45 years ago.

Mr Ragnar, you're a very lucky man.

And that layout looks fantastic
