Heng Long/WPL are now manufacturing 1/16 scale RC trucks, so it seemed sensible to create a forum area dedicated to the amazing things that members are doing with them. Post your builds, mods, and tips here.

Looks like >$450, but a chassis only kit looks to be <$300...
Good Morning, Max!
Thank you, Jimbo! I have seen them go on Ebay for as little as 329.00 complete ( without radio and receiver ) I am mostly interested in the very nice plastic cab and detail bits ( like the real wood cargo bed, etc ). The cab and detail bits for it can be found for around 59 - 69 dollars. ( price of a whole JJRC or Fayee truck, I know ;o)
regards,
Painless
Evenin' all!
I thought I should post some more pics of the work being done on the truck. I am still awaiting window wipers and a passenger I can arm up with a few details. ( may have shown up today, post usually comes in with the better half ) So anyway, work continues! Pics ( Click to enlarge )

Took a while to find interior window cranks that looked old style.jpg
Dang it, Painless, I could've gone the rest of my life without learning about Diorama Freak but you had to show them to me. I already placed an order for a tow hitch (got the set of four) and you'll be seeing them soon on the back of the tanker kit and the Q60.
Nice tires ya got there. Bwahahahaha
In fact, the whole truck is coming along nicely. I love what you did with the bed.
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!
Another very good source for different types of Tow Hitch in 1/16 is www.hagen-miniatures.de/
A very broad range of white metal castings at a very reasonable price.
I ordered from Diorama Freaks' Ebay site and never got my order here in the US. I ordered from two different vendors in Germany at the same time. I got my order from Imperial-Modellbau like 2 weeks ago. When I inquired about where this order was from Diorama Freaks, Uwe did get back to me right away and asked if I wanted to wait or get a refund? I responded I'd like to wait and he cancelled my order. I got a prompt refund, but what I wanted was my parts. I never got a tracking number or even had the order marked shipped on Ebay. The order was from Sept 24th. I keep thinking that maybe the order will show up, but he cancelled it so fast that I think it was never sent because it was for a decent amount of money. I can't see them losing 55 Euros if there was a chance it would show up.
