Oh no, yet another Torro Tiger purchase. . . .

Post by Son of a gun-ner »

Hi gang.

I just received my forty FIRST ever tank :D

Ok, not quite a Tiger 1 like the other recent purchases, but close enough ;)

Nice!

Shame these model sturmtigers don't fire rockets like the real ones! :haha:

Thanks lads. This one is IR, and because it doesn't need a barrel recoil, it has a disabled BB mechanism behind the barrel that has a flash in it. Also for some weird reason, it has a recoil mechanism under the engine deck ? ? ? And this thing goes off clunk every time the gun is fired, so annoying.

Now what to do with it? Keep it as it is, turn it into a late Russian front tiger in winter camo (I have a spare Tiger 1 top), or, turn it into a paper jagd tiger like Carl did

Really? How odd...

Personally i would keep it as a sturmtiger, but weather it, add a crane, and maybe even a rocket shell in the barrel! Or, you could make it shoot rockets! :haha:

You could fit a mesh screen around the engine deck and an AA gun with a bloke firing?

Upgrade the gun to a 128mm TD?

I'm not a great lover of SPG's, this one looks odd with its lack of barrel length lol.
Well, it has a pretend crane. But yes, could do with a shell or two just for show.
It oddly comes with a tank commander, but no opening hatch for him to fit in lol.
Although some kind of round hatch is removable to fit the
IR Apple in.

Yeah, that is two good options.

If I do keep this top hull, that means I'll have to purchase a whole new metal late tiger rolling chassis for my late winter tiger lol.
