Cheers Gary, I was getting conflicting info on cab widths due to the plethora of versions, but everywhere I looked was constant on the wheelbase, so that’s what I used to scale the model

I'll be looking forward to this one. What do you think about printing the cab in actual wood?
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!

I am enjoying your build of the Jeep, and plan to shamelessly copy your efforts on mine!

Only problem would be I would need to upscale all the other models and would need same scale Sherman haha
I'm doing both, and it's pretty cool. 1/6 offers a lot of options not available to 1/16, like .50 caliber paintball! @)

Of course, I have way too many projects and not enough time and energy, but I already have the Dragon Kubel kit as well as a 250 halftrack that are just waiting to be RCed. With all the extra space they can be a lot easier to do than 1/16.

Now I'm waiting for Wayne to do a kubel to see if the axles work in that, too. @) @)

Hehe a .50 cal paintball!!! :haha:

HL Panzer IV Munitionsschlepper für Karl-Gerät

2 many trucks to list!

Updates due later this week, I’ve just got a Kubelwagen so I’ll be looking to give feedback on that too

Just been talking to a mate who used a Maverick Scout to do his conversion.

Interested to see how yours is progressing as you still need a motor and servos and bits?

I've been waiting for some chassis extension pieces to arrive from China, to say they were a letdown is an understatement, they were about as robust as lolly sticks.
Plan is to cut the chassis in the middle & join it back together with some rectangular bar & bolts at the correct wheelbase.
I need to remove the plastic chassis from the body to get the best fit.
With all this in mind & at the time a kubelwagen being a pipe dream I did a deal for another jeep, this one however was factory built.

If anyone is interested in this, I have a need for 1/6 scale German vehicles lol
I've been very busy with the Deuce and a half, cutting the metal chassis is at least a couple of weeks away.
Cheers

Would all the axles bolt to the plastic chassis ok or not?

Cutting the metal chassis seems a pain if the original could be used and beefed up.

How much for the sas jeep? Not that I need any more vehicles...
