Thanks Darren!
Managed to strip everything off the hull, cut out the battery box, filled in the holes and added some 2mm aluminium corner and strip from B&Q to get some rigidity on the lower part.
Used magnets for the attachment of the upper...
And added a set of James Canham late wheels and cut off the bazooka plates as I'm going to attempt to make them from brass sheet.
Lots still to do!

And I hereby change thy name to Disco!
200ml of clear art Epoxy with green dye crystals (that didn't turn it green) and gold glitter...

Re: Challenger 2 - for me, not you!
Been making some mud guards for the front and rear sections using 1mm and 0.5mm Nitrile from eBay and Styrene off-cuts.
Luckily my trusty liquid solvent bonds the Nitrile and Styrene to the Heng Long plastic nicely!
I then used contact adhesive to bond on the thinner sheet and trimmed to fit.
The rears are both done.
Needed to add Styrene to the rear of the Nitrile so it would conform to the side correctly - a tiny screw ensures that it can be removed if necessary.

Thanks Painless and Herman, I'm enjoying this one quite a bit!
Been adding some brass detailing, metal bits and Styrene to the upper.
Also made a speaker box for the Visaton Oval Broadband SC 5.9 (4Ohms) as even though it's a big old chunk of plastic, I've run out of space once the battery and IBU3 are installed...
I now have 5 reference books and another on the way - detailing may take some time!

Slowly cracking on with the build...
Making the front indicators functional with a 3mm orange LED on each side, modifying the stock plastics by cutting, drilling and swearing!
Once the heatshrink is heated it conforms to the desired routing on the hull.

Yep Wardog, also seen a speaker in the turret too.
Getting a bit carried away by the brass bits - I'm basing this build on the black version of Nomad, which was shown during the Royal Tank Regiment amalgamation ceremony. I've only got 3 pictures (left and right sides and a almost front on view) to work from so it's a bit of guesstimating as there are some details that I'm not quite sure about.
Anyway, onto the pictures!
The barrel lock isn't functional, but at least it won't fall off!
I'm going to do the front lights again as I realised they had another light under the indicator and the headlights now sit on top of the additional armour plate...

Re: Challenger 2 - for me, not you!
Really going down the rabbit hole here...
The rear is now finished - not that you can really see it when on the floor!
Have added infill to the jerry cans, radio and scratch built the light clusters each with a brake light, indicator and running lights wired into the fronts - the right hand cluster also has a number plate light too. Doing the brass wire protectors was a bit of a mare, tried soldering them together and then having to reinforce with superglue.
Much respect to the master builders on the forum - how they get everything so clean and perfectly aligned is beyond my skill set!
Also added three bearings to the turret ring to make it run smoothly - before a full rotation took 16 seconds, now 10 (both times with the DKLM metal turret motor and ring)
Really need to finish off the front lights - been putting it off!
