Tamiya Pershing contrrols
Morning Guys
I wonder if anyone can help me out. I have a Tamiya Pershing from Ebay. I don't have the manual or the booklet that explains the controls. I know that the pershing has a feature where you can rev the engine without engaging the gears which I have done but how do I engage the gears to drive the tank. I know it will be a weird combo of stick movements but could do with knowing what that movement would be. The other thing I haven't been able to do so far is turn on the lights, are they also a weird stick combo movement?
Thanks
Glyn

What radio you using ? if using 'old style ' analog radio , you need to do :
For gear engage you need to pull trimmer on throttle stick all the way down, and then quickly flick throttle strick down. you will hear idle got down in speed, meaning it is in gear.
same With light ( dont remember on top of my head) , but L ore R trimmer on turret stick and quickly flick it ( L ore R )
if using 'digital' modern , you need to set it up as like something in this video

Lights - left trim move right, flick left stick right. Return trim to middle.
Throttle - left trim move down, Rev stick fully down, return trim to middle.
Gun - right trim up, flick right stick up, return trim to middle.
Mg - right trim down, flick right stick down, return trim to middle.
If you have a fancy radio we can adjust the settings so you don’t use trims or can use switches.

And if you don't have a fancy radio you can calibrate the dmd so you can get all the functions at the extremes of the sticks, not as good as putting them on button but better than messing with trims

Thanks for the replies. I have a flysky 6 channel radio and there are all sorts of settings that can be adjusted. It has switches but I can only see that channels 5 or 6 can be allocated to a switch where as the throttle and gun functions are on channels 1to 4

You need to adjust the travel end points to 125% if you can.

Morning Adam
Yes I can do that with my radio. I have
Done a dmd setup again and adjusted the endpoints and got things working. Lost the main gun firing function now but it's just a case of tweaking. On the pz iv I did a dmd setup with bluetac wrapped around the controller sticks so that they couldn't travel thier full distance then removed the bluetac after setup and everything works so will try this solution with the petshing

You need to set the dmd up in normal mode - ie all end points at 100% then adjust the radio to 125%
