The Hulls are almost the same height. But the Mato boggies are obviously oversized compared to HL's.

Oh yeah, and that plastic return roller is HUGE. But looks about right size with their metal ones.

Glad I waited and changed to HL boggie sets finally.
The metal sets made for the Mato unit cost a lot (the HL were $6.00 US for a set).
Read a posting somewhere of someone who put the HL road wheels on the original Mato boggie sets in order to better match the HL's size, but he did not change the return rollers.

I used the road wheels with rubber tyres from a mato and fitted them to heng long boggies, I was using a set of mato metal tracks anyway so the slightly wider wheels from the mato were a perfect fit

Must have been harder to replace the HL roadwheels with the larger Mato ones.
Was the replacement done on a Mato M4a1 ? If so how did you mount the HL boggies on the Mato hull.

Hi GG, I actually used an heng long lower hull and heng long boggies, I only used the mato wheels as they have rubber tyres, I also used mato sprockets, idlers and metal track's so they all fitted perfect

Cheers, Lee.

I've added a pic of the heng long boggie with the mato wheels fitted, I'm making an m4a1 desert Sherman, still a work in progress
