Possibly, is there a way i could still make the sprocket work? Or should i just get a new one?
If it is a problem with the mold maybe a little clean up,where the two halfs meet,a little play that's ok.
When you tighten the screws hold the motors gearing.so it does not move.
Gearing? Is that the shaft looking thing or are you refering to the gears inside?

I would take the offending sprocket off, check if the two halves go together properly, and check that the screw goes in far enough without the sprocket on. If the screw doesn't go in enough for the different make of sprocket, get a couple more of the correct size washers and use more than one on that screw.

It is possible that the hole in that gearbox shaft is not as deep as the other side, maybe deep enough for a Heng Long sprocket but not a mato.
Are the halves supposed to stay together with friction or something? They just fall apart if they dont have a screw in them

I've noticed that with mine, though i couldn't space the sprocket quite the same way as i could with the left side one, I'll try again though

What happened when you swapped the screws around?

The right side screw (which used to be the left side one)
Tightens up more than the left screw, and when i drive it, the tanks veers towards the right. ???

Are the screws different lengths? Maybe an extra washer under the screw heads.

Sounds like some mismatched parts. Can you measure the length of the screws and do a side by side comparison
