WPL truck to Diamond T/M19 conversion

Heng Long/WPL are now manufacturing 1/16 scale RC trucks, so it seemed sensible to create a forum area dedicated to the amazing things that members are doing with them. Post your builds, mods, and tips here.

Whilst waiting for some bits to arrive for the Centurion I got a delivery of the universal joints for the Diamond T, so I was able to get it all back together. It's now a pretty mean machine. :D

I can now get a few filler in jobs done on it

I've actually done nothing recently on this and am in the process of negotiating with a forum member for him to take it over and get it finished. The Centurion has actually been sold to another forum member so it unfortunately won't be paired with the M19.

Because of a property downsizing I have had to thin down my collection and there will probably be a hiatus on development until I get a new man cave :/

Hello everyone.

I guess some of you are wondering where the Diamond T/M19 went.
Well it escaped Brexit by fleeing to Holland.

I have waited a little bit with doing a update on it, because I'm afraid Alwyn might get a bit of a shock.

Well lets start.

Smale thing I did was shorten the driveshaft from the gearbox.

After that I found most leave springs where broken, so I'm waiting for an new set of springs.

Well now the big shock.
Because I mostly build British tanks, I want this truck to be fitting to that.
The early diamond T trucks had a hard cab and in fact the first of these were supplied to the British army.
So I changed some things a tiny bit.

And this is all that is left of the first body.

Hope you are a bit more up to date.

That's looking great   I'm a bit shocked about those springs, the trip over must have been on the ferry and a rough trip (or maybe some of the shipping monkeys took revenge on the Fragile stickers I plastered all over it!) :/

Anyway I shall be watching with great interest and love the cab changes. :D
