Stolen Armortek Quad, 25pdr and Limber

Post by Saracen »

Not sure where to put this - please move if there's a better place on the forum.

This was posted by Phil Crowther over on the Armortek Forum last Monday:

Morning all.
I may be grasping at straws but my Quad, limber and 25pdr were stolen from my house in South Worcestershire last Friday 25th January along with the Spectrum Dx6 transmitter. As it is a rather unique, niche model it may well be offered for sale in the West Midlands or even further afield.
Police are aware and if anyone should be offered a quad in Caunter camo I would greatly appreciate a shout out.
For those who know where to look it is No. 88.
Many thanks
Phil

There are some truly despicable people out there. Really hope the b**tard is caught, and the Armortek returned in good condition. Trouble is, the courts are often too lenient on crims, and the majoring of crimes
are never solved... and this seems to act as an incentive to bandits

Is that 6th scale?

I'll move this to hobby news

Just a thought but the perpetrators of this sort of crime aren't usually the sharpest knife in the drawer and they may be dim enough to post a vid on facebook of them or their kids playing with 'their' new toy? I'm not even on facebook but maybe someone who is could keep an eye out?

You're welcome.

Just hope it's someone that tries to sell it.

Many years ago a local paintball shop got broken into, the thieves got caught because they tried to sell the stuff, and one gun was custom made one of a kind. So, there is hope.

There has been some thought that it may have been stolen to order, being such an odd thing to steal and so easily identifiable and traceable.

They'll never be able to sell it openly, even if it's repainted, or run it at any public events.

Was there not other things stolen then?

1:16 was my scale. Until 'Konan' came into my life... an Armortek 1:6 Tiger 1!
... Now followed by a Panther G, 'Gunther'!

I'm a happy man. 8)

Phil does not reply or state if anything else was stolen or not.
