Turret nice and smooth running so going to see if it will run with a micro servo. This time it will be offset and as its small, no faffing about positioning board and battery. Made the turret easy to open, better than opening up the turret ring and loosing ballbearings. Started a rewire with some computer ribbon cable.
If the plastic gears in servo fail will use a metal one

Spins well no need for a thin plastic disc.

Time for some paint. Now i can fix all the brass chips with Mr Metal Primer . Tried xf-60 dark yellow on the zimmermit , looks too bright. Another light coat of xf-57 buff on top, the deck and turret roof just have buff over hull red. Missed the breather tube and the tube for the aerial ,fixed now.

Great effect using the deck tan. I did that with mine too because im a heavy washer , it seems to have remained light after the wash was completed.
Super job

Thanks Herman . The yellow looked very bright on the Zim, so tried buff on upper surfaces. Redone the Zim with 50-50 yellow and buff. Painting is a nightmare compared to the build. First proper go at painting, need to up my game with the airbrush. Fine lines to mark off the camo were hit and miss, could be not mixing paint and thinner properly at times. Couple of fixes, Mg mount and chain for the aerial tube. Better start reading up about weathering etc.

Started to tone down the camo, a few coats of thinned down grey then a couple of very thin coats of buff misted over. Looks slightly better now.
Starting to dull down.

This toning down is a long processes, using the pic to see if i can see any improvement , no flash just daylight.
