Looks a lot like a well worn Tiger II. Bravo, Herman!!

Fantastic Herman. It gets better and better. Used the valley mud on my Jagdpanther and used it exactly for that, a base for further pigments. I would say it is really good for that.

Cheers for the kudos lads, its about done apart from getting some dark earth pigment and toning down the lower hull soiling !
Ive made do with plastic turret spare track for now until metal comes available. The ejector marks have been reduced, but not totally removed.
Painted by stippling brush with a mix of copper, gun metal, german grey, black and a dry brush over of brown wash.
The track pins also need to be fitted through them & touched up.
Im also a bit concerned that the poor old thing needs new torsion bars fitted
No idea how, there is most likely a load of loctite on every stripped screw, and its just all too hard
Bucket soon ...............any suggestions for its theme ?

Vey nice , picking up a load of tips. One way to try and stiffen up the torsion bars without disassembly is to put a small screw in the opposite side into the hole thats central in the slot for the bar . Another way is little brass strips pushed in and glued stops the wobble between the bars and the slots.

Thanks for the tip Mr 42, I'm used to 'clocking' springs on H/L tanks, not these fancy-pants Tamiya torsion bar set ups !!ronnie42 wrote:Vey nice , picking up a load of tips. Got to do some sort of retension of the torsion bars, it’s definitely sagged.
I might even do the previously unthinkable and sell it.
