An update on the sound system, there's this
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DasMikro-Pro ... ctupt=true
Finished the first suspension unit
I think it looks better than the Asiatam unit but I'm prejudiced

Hi Alwyn, I think that’s the sound unit that Gary raves about

Suffren-ass !!..........all this is pointing to a better than expected outcome.
Quizz ?
Will the sound module work with that speed controller ?
And, for some reason when I look at a wheeled vehicle-even if it has tracks on the back, I think steering wheel transmitter.......... (perhaps from the other life ago when I raced 1/10th off road cars.)
6 channel transmitter & receiver= no problem.
Will they all work together though ?

Hi Herman, I'm no sort of an expert on sound boards, perhaps if you message Max-u52, he seems to have done quite a bit of work on these. A 6 channel tx/rx should work fine with both the esc and the sound module.

Well that's the suspension finished. The chassis was sitting tail-down instead of tail-up, so I reprinted the suspension 5mm higher and it's fixed.
Just got the steering/front suspension to update and then it's good to go to Oz.

It's a wrap!
The old and new steering/front suspension
and there she is. Next step is disassembly, very careful packing, and despatch to the antipodes! Phew it fought to the end - I even had to design a custom servo arm.

But I liked the white front suspension!!!!
So much for a simple running gear knock-up!!
Can you give me the basic dimensions please Mr Turner. It might be ok to send in a small box rather than take it apart ?

Re: An interesting commission - Maultier panzerwerfer 42
Hi Herman, the box is18cm x 14cm x 38cm, and the plan is just to remove the tracks, idlers and suspension units and leave the rest as one unit to ease reassembly whilst keeping the bits that could break or cause breakage separately wrapped in bubble wrap. I'm also sending the blueprints.
