I have often wondered what did Americans think when the British named pretty much the same tank with a Southern Civil war Generals name (Lee) with a Northern Civil war Generals Name (Grant)?
Bearing in mind that the American Civil War was still in living memory in 1942.

Does anything exist outside America??
Will the US's next tank be known as a Trump?
The answer is Brexit. Now, what was the question?? Must be time for tea.

Well North of the Humber, and when I was a kid (in what now seems like the Middle Ages), the word 'Trump' often raised a titter in reference to card games, since it was also used colloquially as an alternative verb for 'To Fart'.General Jumbo01 wrote:Does anything exist outside America??

Thus it might be more appropriate for a flammenwerfer Tank.

Re: WHATS IN A NAME ?
It certainly is more fitting for Donald than Truman was for Harry s who sold the UK down the river with his demand for instant repayment after WW2 finished and his denial to the UK of the Nuclear bomb secrets that the UK gave to the US via the "Tube Alloys" Project which was extant prior to the "Manhattan Project".
Sorry if I sound bitter but it does rankle a bit when the USA makes claim to being the inventor of the Atomic Bomb.
