Laugh, I nearly cried.
Re: Laugh, I nearly cried.
The guy is obviously a purely static modeler and I understand what he means about something a tad larger than 1/35 but smaller than 1/16. His problem is that manufacturers don't get it, either. I'll never, never understand why Tamiya went with 1/16 for tanks and 1/14 for trucks. I think that was one of the most foolish moves ever made. I also had the same problem with my 1/32 aircraft not quite being a match for 1/35 armor.

And what's with 1/18 ? It makes no sense at all.
I think I am about to upset someone

I wasn going to comment but I remembered a piece of wisdom passed from my missus late father. Never educate a mug.HERMAN BIX wrote:I guess we could ruin his day and include every single parts and acceccory supplier that we know of, but why educate an obvious numpty?
Sure, our scale will never come close to the magnitude of 1/35th options, but what we lack in off the shelf options we make up for in innovation yeah ?
He’s a ‘tard that is myopic and lacking in expressive skills, so let’s not concern ourselves with such single- celled cerebral analysis on a subject he cannot alter with zero evidence of what he can produce regardless of scale.

Me three, but I like the 1/6 scale guys. Some of the detail in the accessories really blows my mind. The barrel comes out of the MG-42, and there's actually a belt of ammo in the drum. On most of the pistols, like the P38 and the Luger, the hammer cocks and they have removable magazines. And the stock folds right up on the MP-40.Son of a gun-ner wrote: I LOVE Gi Joe, so does my grandson![]()
And have you seen the prices on some of the original G.I. Joe stuff? A plain Joe, without even the Kung Fu Grip, will run ya a hundred bucks, and that's naked. Throw in another $75 if you want clothes on him. My sister, who sold my extensive Joe collection while I was in the Army, made a huge mistake that I never let her forget.

I was never onto dolls as a child. I enjoyed playing with my Dinkys.
(Pause for reaction!)
Favourite? Mighty Antar and Centurion. Still have them. I've no idea what scale it was. I'll not convinced Dinky did! Just remembered - l have a large collection of 1/43 cars. It's a collectors scale. Why 1/43???

I just get a slap round the face these days.
No, dont get me going with O, OO & HO!!Dinky was not consistent. Their cars were a little larger than 1/43 and grew a little during the '70s (I'm still talking about die casts). The trucks were way smaller unless you bought the Supertoys which were similar scale to their cars. Corgi differed in much the same way. They probably grew a little when things started to open. (Still talking about die cast)
Regardless of how long scales have existed for certain items, maybe manufacturers should start to standardise. I recall Matchbox plastic tank kits were 76th while Airfix et al were 72nd. Close, but they looked very wrong when side by side. What a waste ;(
