Ok, so I have my Henglong Challenger. Runs like a dream.
I would like to up grade a wee bit.
As part of this I intend to install bearing seals and bearings.
To do this I need to take off the drive wheels.
BUT...
Having got the tank up and running following the instructions I had put the wheel hubs on the wheels.
So the question is
How do I remove the hubs from the drive wheels?
Much thanks in advance. Peter.

Re: Challenger 2 Drive Wheel Hubs
Did you glue them on?
Re: Challenger 2 Drive Wheel Hubs
No, just pushed them on. but they go flush. Going to have a go with a stiff wire. Hopefully will be able to hook them out.
Re: Challenger 2 Drive Wheel Hubs
I've a nifty pair of surgical forceps that grip the edge, plus if you bugger them up I've a new set unopened if you need them...

Try borrowing your wife/girlfriend/mum's Marigolds to get better grip and then try to twist the caps out a little. Once you have the slightest gap you can gently prise the caps off with a scalpel blade. Its worked for me in the past.

Get a cheap set of jewelers screwdrivers and try to pry the edges. Bear in mind if you bruise the edge of the cap, it can be filed or otherwise dressed to get it looking good as new.
dont be scared to use a bit of mongrel on it, the object is not the cap, but what lies beneath it that matters, the cap could be acceptable collateral damage in the grander strategy to get those sprockets off
