Do you have a Heng Long Zimmerit set? I got one for Tamiya recently and the mantle needed modification to work with the Taigen/HengLong turret and barrel. That is why I was asking.

Yes, it does take some reworking to do the mantle to fit the HL. It also took quite a bit of work to make the G set into an A but it is pretty easy to work with cutting forming and gluing down...Soeren wrote:Do you have a Heng Long Zimmerit set? Awesome work!
Any tutorials for the Atak mantlet? I've been looking at doing an early G and was thinking about using that mantlet to do it.

Can’t wait to see this masterpiece in paint.

It is definitely worthwhile to read this thread from the start. Lots of good solutions and attempts to use on own builds.

Re: Converting HL Panther "G" to a Late "A"
I honestly can't remember what I had to do to convert it to HL. I think I had to mount the HL posts inside it using 2 part epoxy and had to do some sanding and fitting of course but I think it was simpler than I thought it was going to be....philipat wrote:Awesome work!

You can cut the posts out of the mantlet and fit for instance 6mm tubes instead. These will go into the henglong mounting points inside the turret. That was why I asked here. Seems we did it the same way.
