Fury platoon
Fury platoon
I received an unusual Valentine's gift.
And so, I decided to do Fury. Which soon expanded into the whole platoon. I'm starting with Fury and Old Phyllis.
The base for Old Phyllis was purchased from RichJohnson over on RCU. I've gutted her electronics and started to add detail.
I'm going to add cast texture, so none of the detail is glued yet.
And, to get the proper T84 tracks for Fury, I'm taking the shoes from a set of Impact T84E1 tracks and using the Tamiya end connectors and guides.
This is one of the Impact tracks disassembled.
And my hand afterwards.

That's what I call dedication! Fury will be shod with first class footwear. Brad Pitt's head is really quite a good likeness, but I wonder whether his legs are really as short as that? It's Brad Pitt's torso mounted on Jackie Chan's legs Nice gift though, and I expect
"Fury" will be a beaut... if you don't wear your hands away first

Very good

It is a very good likeness. And as for his legs, having worn it, I can tell you that's an unfortunate visual effect of the uniform and leggings.43rdRecceReg wrote:That's what I call dedication! RCTW seems to be a natural, and welcoming home for many ex-servicemen. By the way, as a Scot who's part Irish, I heartily approve of the Celtic symbolism you have on show there

Re: Fury platoon
Nice start.
I changed the track guides on my M51 Sherman too. Used a nick Aguilar cast hull which is much better to start with and has a cast texture already.
Look forward to your progress.

One down, one to go.
Re: Fury platoon
The stuff of nightmares. I won’t be doing them again in a hurry.
Re: Fury platoon
Me either. But, it is easier than working with 1/35 tracks.
Re: Fury platoon
Tracks are done. And my hands are dead.
