Vallejo Plastic Putty, Wads. It's easier than Milliput. Cut the nozzle to the size of 'weld' you need, and use the end of blunted electrical screwdriver, or similar, to form the pattern. It works a bit like bathroom and window frame sealant.
My eyes and hands are not the precision instruments they used to be, but I still found this easy to use. Just read the directions though..
I bought my tube from Amazon UK, by the way but it's £3.99 on Ebay..

Hi John W.
Here is a link on how I make weld seams.....have a look...

viewtopic.php?f=21&t=21744&start=40

If this is to much work for ya, I used to use a wood burning knife from a craft store and just shaped the end to where it looks good. The problem
with using a burn method is if you make a mistake your kind of stuck. 8O

Hope this helps...have a good one....good luck sir

On youtube i have seen them glue a thin length of styrene rod onto the area and then make small cuts with an x-acto blade - looks very scale.

Hi.
Mr W.

You can buy weld seams from Archer products at different widths you just prime the hull part etc then rub them on where required..no messing about job done..then paint over to fix permanently.
Archer transferes surface details with excellent results i use them a lot quite surprised no one else seems to know about them.
They are widely available in the UK.
Hope its of use

Peddinghaus do Checkerplate decals and of course "Aber" sell Checkerplate PE,
I confess I have never been tempted to try either.

I intend to use the Archer Welds on my Abrams......however they are not "rub on" they are printed on clear deal film. They are applied like any other water slide decal.
