9.99 euro for 100 plus postage.
Great find! Shipping in Europe = €7.

If you buy 3 packages the price is lowered to €7,50 for 100pcs, so that's kind of free shipping!
300(!) sandbags for less than 0,10ct a piece... I think I'll order myself some more! 8)
1:16 was my scale. Until 'Konan' came into my life... an Armortek 1:6 Tiger 1!
... Now followed by a Panther G, 'Gunther'!

I'm a happy man. 8)

Excellent work on the diorama, and many thanks for the pics, it's always good to see how things are done.
i was advised some years ago, when i started to build dios, to never use anything 'edible' that can deteriorate and possibly populate the dio with unwanted life. I've filled several hundreds of sandbags, and i've always used beach sand or silica, then tied the sack -like they did in real life- and used carpenters glue diluted in water to soak the filled sandbag, so you can shape them.

best regards
Jussek

Empty CD cakebox.

Balsa wood

I LOVE to age my balsa wood using AK Products 'wash for DAK-vehicles. I you partly remove it after a minute or so the wood gets a nice aged look.

Image
The sandbags are real, filled with salt. Still need to find a good way te close them properly. My current solution using loads of superglue is not very handy.

It's built to be put in a sandbox
I want to start building something like that, but it seems I can not find the balsa wood stripes anywhere. I can bind big balsa sheets or square (10mm x 10mm for example) balsa sticks. Could you please tell me how wide are those balsa stripes in milimeters and where can I buy them?

Thanks in advance!

http://www.hobbycraft.co.uk/balsa-sheet ... 69031-1000 This is just one UK outlet and I'm sure there are many more. Are you based in Germany? There must be many balsa outlets there for model aircraft builders.
Anyway, congrats on your tastefully presented diorama  I like the ageing effects you've given the balsa. I get them from Life itself :D

That is cool and a great use for old cd storage cover.
I hope you don't mind.... but I am going to have to copy that idea for our war playground at home.
