Doc Phibes! Welcome back! Thank you for the compliments, my Friend. I do not think that you will have any trouble putting your well organized and meticulous spin on your M36B1 and leaving the rest of us in your dust. I reinstalled the hatch using Loc-Tite 24 hour Epoxy and put a bead around the contact point on the other hatch for good measure. The Upper I received from MATO only had the silver tape holding that one rectangle of white lexan in place that the wiring loom utilizes. I have replaced that with a better grade of the tape. Looking forward to new pics of your progress. Again, welcome back to our shared insanity. Before I forget, the .50 dismount tripod came from the spares on a HL Sherman. It should be easy to locate. Let me know if you have any trouble finding one and I will scrounge around in spares.
regards,
Painless

It's a Holiday weekend and the mail ran a last time today til' it's over next week. I managed to get those 3D printed pieces in for the turret servos. I figured that made it a good day to spend on the M36B1 since the Mate was engaged in a struggle to get on the server for a new PC game he was supporting. A few hours later, I had mounted some detail bits and remounted the elevation servo, in the process removing some of MATOs hot glue and bolt fiddlings. I'll work on it a little more tomorrow. Pics:

P.S. Good News! on the Schumo front. Bob at ETO let me know that he is receiving a big order from Schumo at the first of the week and sending it on to his American distributor. Looks like Axels and ETO and the other outlets will have plenty of new Schumo stock for anyone who is searching for it.

It took two weeks to get these parts in due to the Printer losing my addy and fudging it on the first shipment. I could have driven there in three hours if I had known.

Mornin' Carl!
It was all thanks to W.W.s build of one of these turrets on a stock MATO lower hull. I'm going to see if I can piece those side walls of the Servo box in one at a time. At least one, perhaps. I plan on painting the turret interior today. That will be fun. I promised General Alpha a new Command for Crazy Joe some years ago. Here it is. The only things missing now are the exterior Schumo details and those sound like they will be shipped this coming week. I can do unit markings and weathering then and call this one complete ( for now, as we know, they are never really done )
regards,
Painless

It was a beautiful, quiet Sunday here. I planned on getting out into the Lot and doing some work but as it turned out, the closest I got to that was playing around with the puppies at lunch. ;o) The turret interior is done minus a pin wash and a few brass rounds ( brass nails ) in the ready rack. I'll attend to that after the Holiday. Pics:

As I had mentioned to Carl, I cut up the 3D printer surround and got the larger portion of it attached to the roof plate.

That's why I mounted the servo under the floor I had made for the original I sold you. I'm only sorry that it wasn't good enough for you to use to build the tank.

Good morning, Gentlemen,
Tom, Thank you, sir. If somebody wanted to they could completely disassemble the turret and cut out the floor and add the turret gear and seating in two levels with a partial basket like the actual vehicle. I think Doc Phibes is heading down this route and I am anxious to see how he pulls it off. I thought seriously about it but just having spent the best part of a year on a Tiger 1, I need to move on with Builds.
Mr. Sollie, I cannot thank you enough for the assist and constant, excellent Service on the TK24. That board really brought this TD to Life!
Terry, Of course it was good enough, my Friend. I have the upper and turret stored away for Mike to look at when he visits from Hawaii sometime this year. You must not ever think that something isn't good enough. I am a builder and like to put my stamp on anything I work on. MATO was balking at selling me the wiring harness and I could just barely get them to sell me the upper and turret. I had to send them pics of another MATO build ( M4A1 76w ) before they would consent to the sale. They are oddly proprietary of this line of vehicles.
regards,
Painless
