I think I said it earlier that you have made this Combo Build the match of any Torro Jagdtiger out there. The work shows and and shows wonderfully well. The only suggestion that I can offer is to get away from the gap toothed appearance with the fenders that is so popular with these vehicles. Be rare and run it with a full painted set. If not your bottle of suds. no biggie because it is still a stand out piece of late war Armor.

Thanks Mr Wolf. I'm not a fan of full mudguards, and add this to the fact the mattoro doesn't have any , I really only made & fitted one just to see how it looked and if I could make one without fancy Pe folding gear !
Plus it gives something extra to lean the tank on for battery changes!

Looking forward to seeing the beast with its tracks on.
Are you doing a diorama for this one ?
Not sure on the dio yet Mr Tiggr, would be a big base for sure if I did !
Tracks should be on in the next few days, still need to add pigments and wash to them and would rather do it off the tank,

Interesting look of those covers. Is the primer still showing through, brownish, or is it something else? The gray paint has some texture, looks like those iron gate paints with hammered finish, what is this?

Pic was taken while still wet.
A mix of XF-28 Dark Copper, XF-63 German Grey, XF10 Gun Metal, and XF-10 Flat Brown.
Stippled on the gun metal and German grey together, then a bit of copper and brown.
Last, a few spots of Hull Red.

I have just washed over them with MIG 1000 brown, and a dash of Tan for Yellow green mig 1507 wash to bring it together.
Pics when dry.

Oh, and the tiniest pinch of baking soda added to the plates to add texture.
I really want grey/brown plates rather than orange ones. These things were not in the field for long, certainly not long enough to have bright orange rust form on them.
Mill scale on steel is omnipresent, and I assume no different to material used in forward areas to fit out these super-weapons against air attack.
Once the entire thing is dusted over with flat earth XF-52 it should all blend nicely.
Well............thats the plan :eh:
Once its dry I will bung up some pics.

ANZAC day tomorrow, so not much progress.
We are all off to a Dawn Service beginning at 0428hrs, and then a memorial at 0930.
A time to reflect on the realities of real conflict.........................

Baking Soda yes.
Very fine solid powder that can create texture and add body to paint.

Neat tip Herman, the texture on those plates looks fantastic; definitely matches up with RHA plate I've seen in person.
