Yeah, probably close to it Mr Ram :haha: :haha:

Sadly, no pictures or details seem to exist that indicate what his machine may have looked like...............only educated speculation.
As is 131's crews identity , unreal the Germans have no record?
Who really killed Wittman , still an ongoing online argument for years to come no doubt.
All lost in the depths of history , when in the middle of battle , no one thought to take better notes.
Don't get your panties in a bunch , we still got hand weapons and the fifty!

There are some advantages to a lack of photographs of a particular Tank,
For instance I wanted to build a Tunisian Tiger 1 But there is always some smart ar*e ready to point out the mistakes and what you have missed,
And then I found a well detailed Picture of the back of "813" but there was no available picture of the front, So I made the early one piece fenders and the square shaped Exhaust shrouds as well as the 4 pot air cleaners as in the photograph, and then I went to work on the front with my interpretation and no one can say whether it is right or wrong so boo sucks :haha: :haha:
My understanding of "131"s crew is they were rookies who abandoned the Tank thinking it was u/s whereas an experienced crew would have driven it back to the workshop,
So little wonder they were not well publicised as the Tankers who gifted an almost brand new slightly shop soiled Tiger1 to the Tommies. :{ :{

A big issue with zimmerit for me has always been the ability to apply markings on them. Decals of every kind has been used and usually do not stick even if your press them going into the grooves, and they often break if you press them too hard. Archer Transfers work if you are really careful but they usually break also, either right away or after some time. Heng Long stickers do not really look good because they are too thick and shiny, they do not adhere either. Then there is the complicated process of using templates to spray sharp and accurate line over the grooves, difficult, time consuming and need skills. I wonder if someone has a miracle solution ?

I have avoided Zimmeritt because of the many difficulties it presents BUT if I was trying to paint numbers and letters on it I would go through my grand daughters toy box looking for Plastic Letters and Numbers that can be pressed into the Zimmeritt which would leave a flattened shape easily filled with paint,
Just a thought.

I have used the stencils successfully (well to my eye anyway)
The way to do the transfers over zimmerit is to melt them on with solvent and then once dry Matt varnish over the top.

I think Kurt Knsipel commanded this Königstiger on the parade clip of all the tanks in the propaganda film prior to despatch to Budapest....
