Well quick update on this stalled project, panic bought a turret for it as couldn't find any on Evilbay.
removed the CIP panels that seemed to have been concreted on, filled the low marks in the mould (mainly where the fixing screws are and where the right angles are as I guess HL don't do 3D moulds like dragon).
plastic card periscope lenses and sight housing doors.
Chucked the last drops of red oxide from my can at it in between rain showers.
Now for the big spend Ludwig's aluminium hull internal support and rear light modules and then DKLM suspension and tracks.

The DKLM hulls are incredibly heavy duty, good to see someone building the tank that they want by buying the parts that they need from different manufacturers, at least it saves you having a parts box full of parts that you will never use.

Re: My HL CHallenger 2
Thanks WW,
I decided after my two F**k ups with the HL Tigers, I'd never buy a complete HL tank every again.( never throwing that much work and materials away again).
Its been a cheaper route £80 for the upper and lower hulls, £19 for the accessory pack, £12 for the rear panel and £38 for the turret.
HL now offer a premium set for nearly £350, with metal suspension parts . But I think my way is they way to go to get a tailor made tank with out a pile of bits that will never be used.

Very Nice!
Great looking paint job, I really like the camo scheme.
