Good Morning Roy,
If you go to Heng Long Builds there are some modified PZ4s with the detail of building the proper slope described.
Shaun.

Re: 1942 DAK Panzer IV
Apologies for the late reply and Good Evening,
Trimming the piece and sanding judiciously has produced the best results that I have seen in the HL range. I plan on a disassembly and either a resin or Tamiya deck when I get around to building this early variant.
regards,
Painless

How right you are, Shaun ..and usually the archive is my first 'port of call' when a query comes up..as opposed to a first 'call of Port' (not my slurp anyway...very unScottish..)jarndice wrote:Good Morning Roy,

Here's a neat example of the mod needed: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=9115&p=80876&hilit= ... ope#p80876
most recent cut'n'shut was probably by KT Robb:
viewtopic.php?f=23&t=21787&p=198239&hil ... pe#p198239
In any event, when I return to the aborted, tainted Asiatam project..I'm going to get that 'slope' absolutely correct (and not in a Jeremy Clarkson sense )
Now over to you again, Maestro..Captn. Painless..

Good evening all,
Four years later on, it is time to begin. I'll begin with the research 1/35 scale to get details down and the right shade of desert yellow. Here are some pics of the tank unboxed and tested along with fresh ones of the Tamiya 1/35 version. Pics: (Click to Enlarge)

Is it an extra idler wheel?
I have another quick question, not related, but how much does it cost to upgrade a 1/6 Stuart to a decent level?

Good Morning,
P.L., it is the Manual for the Panzer III that someone packed with my Pz IV. ;o) The Stuart? That depends on how detailed and realistic that you want to make it. I have spent a great deal of time reworking and adding parts and detail to the Lower hull to bring it to where _I_ am satisfied that it passes for real. New working tracks will run me around 400.00 but the added functionality and realistic appearance will be worth it. ( to me ) You can go all the way from just doing a paint job to being Bob Steinbrunn and basically building a real scale and working tank. *chuckles* Here is the link to his Book if you want to go through it to see what is possible: https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/large- ... 1111849507

Re: 1942 DAK Panzer IV
Did you at least get one for the Pz IV?
Thanks for the info, I saw a Stuart on Ebay for a really low price, it was just missing a hatch. Should have bought it!
What are you planning for your German Sherman?

Good afternoon,
No 'manual' ( and I use the word loosely ) for the PzIV but I did not fall off the turnip truck yesterday in regards to kitbashing a build. ;o) I think I can muddle through.
