You may have got my PM already, Herman, but I was not aware of the life-changing nature of this hideous tragedy when I sent it.. As seductively beautiful as Life can be, it can turn on you in an instant, with unprecedented cruelty. I salute your pluck and, as a father, I feel for you: these things should never happen; but they do. Let's just hope for the miraculous. You deserve it.

Hi Herman,
Of course words ..any words fail in situations like this as anybody who has experienced
anything like this knows. But in the middle of it all sometimes very unexpected (good) things
happen. That they will, is my hope and prayer for you and your family right now.

Hey Herman, our thoughts are with you. As a parent, I feel for you. We always want to protect our kids, and feel so helpless when we cannot.
