Since Seigfried is running Elmod then he should be fine. I was more worry about the original WSN/Torro electronics which is 9.6v. The motor should be fine between 9.6v and 11.1v, and the servo will have their usual input from Elmod anyway (5.0v ?).

I switched to 7.4v (2S) because of Clark, and I think mine runs a little slow because of that.

Thanks for checking this out for me Shaun and Michael and the others, I appreciate it. I would really like to try the original youtube suggested battery as it fits so well and has the correct connector so drops right in. I may just go for the slightly longer EFB0998 20C rated battery as thanks to you I know where to get it. The thing is the guy on youtube seems to run it ok, so makes me suspect the system can handle the extra volts ok. I will wait a bit and see what others can contribute and then report back on what I find works best on the stock Torro M16 for a reference for others to use. I will not be the only one looking for the recharge battery for this model.

OK, here below is the battery I went for, tested it and it works fine and is at a safe lower voltage. I went for this one as it fits the battery box without removing the AA battery internals and has the correct connector for the M16 torro, so no need to change plugs, just insert and play. I had a hard time finding a more powerful battery to fit, if you want a bigger battery you will need to remove the original AA battery fittings and perhaps cut away plastic, the battery box is designed for round AA batteries, so makes it hard to fit other battery types and is very narrow at under 30mm wide making most other batteries useless as most are 34 mm wide or too long etc. Anyway if you want a hassle free, easy fit battery at a safe voltage and keep the AA fittings this is a good option and you can buy it on ebay. Hope that helps other new Torro M16 Half track owners as a recharge battery is better than endless AA batteries.
