If it was because of the email from your neighbour, I would hit him with certainly a threat of legal action to recover your costs and damages for loss of sale. In addition that you will hold him responsible for any future problems unless he withdraws his assertions in writing under seal.

I have asked the estate agent to find out what the reason was, I am not certain that it was dickhead who owns the land next door as I provided a mountain of evidence to prove that his claims are groundless. The buyer has been a weird one since day 1, asking all sorts of stupid questions that no one has ever asked before in the history of house buying.

I guess I might get some answers tomorrow? If she says it was the developer then I will see what my options are for going after him.

I was just looking at this Tamiya Sherman on ebay as it has a battle system. Is it worth purchasing?

Its missing at least £25 worth of detailing parts it really needs replacing. Looks to me like its been well loved outdoors.
Should be a full option but what state the gear boxes and DMD/MFU are in are any ones guess! That's the joy of buying from ebay.
Is it worth a maiden bid? Could be...... But not a lot more.

Daft question here..... presumably this older sort of transmitter (Futaba sky sports) will not work with a Clarke TK22 board?

As I understand it, it should, as it's the receiver that makes contact with the transmitter. So long as it gets the signal from the board, it does not care whether it's a 27Mhz or 2.4 Ghz signal. Having said that. it means you need an external aerial for the receiver, and a different crystal for every tank using 27Mhz. If that does not make sense, there will be experts here who can explain better.

Richard, everything you have said is correct, it is so much easier these days to use 2.4ghz, it is a lot more reliable than the old FM radios.

Kevin, if you want a 2.4 radio and a load of rx drop me a line I am sure we can sort something out, it's a radio I no longer need, it's 9 channel, turning 9x clone.

The biggest drawback with 27mhz is that you are stuck with needing a matching crystal in the tx and the rx. This means that you either need to have a pile of transmitters, one for each tank, or one transmitter and a pile of crystals, and keep swapping the crystals.

With a 2.4, especially a programmable one, you have one tx, and stick a receiver in each tank. The receivers all talk to the same transmitter, so you simply switch on and go. The added bonus of 2.4 tx's is that programmable ones are cheap. This means that you can change all sorts of settings, and have separate setups for each tank, all saved on the tx, and selectable by pressing a couple of buttons.

2.4 is also pretty much immune to interference. They will only talk to the 'bound' receiver. and if interference is detected they automatically switch to a different frequency.

27mhz is pretty much obsolete nowadays as 2.4 is what most people will buy.
