In all seriousness, things may be the same, with changes, or very different..............but thats democracy eh, warts & all.

Part of my cunning plan to be able to get Mr Hugills Sturmtiger is to destabilise the economies of two huge nations untill the currency of this South Pacific island catches up, and the international freight companies end up in a price war to keep market share, thereby dropping the prices for metal 1/16th Tanks long distance.......................... :shh: :shifty: :shifty:

I'd say that was an american version of the Brexit vote - 'to hell with all politicians'. There's nothing like a good old protest vote to set the political establishment on it's @rse!
I don't know whether the Donald is going to be any good though, especially if he hires Nigel Farage.
Anyway to all in the US here's wishing you all the best.

Well, as Santa will be saying shortly: "Ho,Ho, Ho!!" If nothing else, you've got to admire Trump's tenacity and the tensile strength of his hairgel (might have an application in tank camo netting? :eh: ).
Only his dour Highland ancestry (his Ma was a Macleod from the Isle of Harris), and the German bits (through his dad's line) could possibly explain his ability to withstand the combined assaults of:- practically the whole US Press Corps; Hollywood mediocrities; Obama's White House; 15-minute fame seekers; the BBC; the Clinton news Network (aka CNN) and all left-leaning liberals...
That takes testes: big ones. Like him or loathe him, he's going well for a seventy year old. Like him, or loathe him..you're stuck with him !!  :D

43rd R&R,
Good morning. What so many folks seem to be forgetting is that America isn't the only place that is stuck with him. ( or maybe 'struck by him' is a better wording ) This particular Narcissist and Chief Genital Grabber now has his finger on 'The Button'! Good Luck to us all, I would say.
regards,

Precisely.

Our states did their respective jobs, the rest...

I've been a political junkie since the late 90s (not the cable news watching type). I'm done now. I was very happy before I started following this stuff and I think I will be even happier now to join the ranks of the politically ignorant. There are a stack of books waiting for me to read, I'll put down the morning NYT and music will fill the void when I turn off NPR.

It's not a 'I'll take my toys and gone home statement'. In some ways, Clinton being elected would have caused more tension, with the relentless witch hunting to delay any progression. I'm done with being bothered by something I have zero control over.

It's sad to say, but I'm a white hetero male in an affluent state, my sons will both get advanced degrees in the next few years, so besides the economy getting rough for a stretch, and short of a major conflict, this won't have much impact on me.
What, me worry?

Contrary to what some would lead you to believe the world is in fact still spinning away, the sun is still shining, birds are still chirping, dogs barking and the sky has not fallen.

He may be a loud mouth pompous ass who apparently has an odd way of shaking hands/vaginas with women but at least he's not the lier, thief and murderer that she is. He may not be good for the country or the world but I'm afraid she would have been far worse in listening to her own speeches. All the coal miners and oil workers were promised a pink slip and all the welfare could handle, stupidest thing she could have EVER said! She shot herself in the foot with a lot of the states with this little gem. For the first time that I know about several unions endorsed Trump, for those that don't know unions NEVER endorse a republican!

And I quite agree this is our Brexit vote.
