Just to remove any confusion, taking the turret top off will only give you access to the turret mechanisms. I have found though, that I can get to the battery connectors without taking the tank top off. It is one of the oddities in the Tamiya instructions, which I blindly followed, it being my first tank. The instructions were to strap the two batteries in place with a thick cable tie. It was only when I got to the end where it said remove the batteries after use

Re: Bristol Armoured Division
It turns manually quite easily. You will hear it clicking the gears, but it's not gone my tank any harm, and I hate to think how many times the turret has been off.If you think about it, if the batteries were flat, you would never get the top off!

I just managed to take the turret and top off as per your instructions ... very easy when you know how.
I should have asked earlier as been messing about with this for ages....
Many Thanks

Re: Bristol Armoured Division
You are welcome. We might have a bit of an identity crisis if both Tigers appear at the same meet
. Mine is 332 and grey as well.
As I said, if you have any other problems, let me know and I will do my best to sort them out.

Re: Bristol Armoured Division
Andy, I ordered a pile of IR emitters from Maplins that they despatched on the 5th, but they never arrived, they are sending another bag today and by special delivery, so they should be here tomorrow. I will then be able to sort out the PzIV at long last.
