Five bags of extra bits to fit plus a sprue of what look like hub caps. Interestingly, the fuel tank are moulded in multi-coloured plastic. Lithium ion battery. A good read of the instructions is called for. The tracks are going to have to come off at some stage for painting.

Sorry - the photo of the tank out of the packaging insists on displaying upside down. I will post a new one.

Got mine today :)

I love it, though I think it needs to go faster and the turret rotation also need speeding up

I won't hijack silversurfer1947 by posting loads of pics of the tank and all its parts but heres a quick comparison with a Tiger and Leopard-

Also noticed the parts list in the back of the instuction book also has metal swing arms, wheels and tyres listed along with a few other upgrades-

I thought the Chally2 was great but HL have improved even more.

I do wish they could get someone who actually speaks English to write the instructions, rather than put it through a auto translator. Remind me of the early days of Japanese kits. Following Woz's post, there does seem to be quite a range of upgrade parts, including extra bearings - presumably thee are what are fitted to the Platinum model as it seems to attract a much higher price. The $64,000 question is "Where will they be available from?"

First problem is how to get the tracks off. Next question, has anyone idea of paints to match the plastic?

Thanks for the comparison pics, I had visions of it being ZTZ sized but its a nice one size fits all Tiger size, which I find even more appealing.

Richard - To get the track pins out usually requires a pin and a hammer, though you can often get them off by removing a sprocket, pulling it off the shaft and then down. Though with the track guards in place you will have to remove the upper hull to free the tracks from the roadwheels.

Thanks Rob. Now the question is do I stick all the bits on first and then take the tracks off or vice versa? And more importantly, can I get it all done before Sept 25?

Sounds much better then all my other HL's but it still sounds like a speaker in a plastic box. It needs a bit of padding inside to muffle the sound a bit.

I like the fact that the control stick can move the gun up or down without it having to cycle up then down.

Assuming it's like the T34. Take the road wheels off. Then unfasten both the drive & idler. Take them off together with the track attached. Debatable whether it's less of a faff them splitting the track, but saves trying to put the pin back in!

Cheers Woz that's good to know, just making certain. I heard on Pauls demo tank and they sounded to be a big improvement over the previous..soo great maybe swap the speaker over won't be to bad for standard H/L.
