Toro Jagdtiger track removal
Hi guys and girls.
Just a quick question, I'm just about to start my detail upgrade of my Toro Jagdtiger.
First job is to remove the tracks and sort the colour out.
so which way do the track pins come out ?
Cheers Mike T

Re: Toro Jagdtiger track removal
Track pins have a broad end and a narrow end,
if you have a spare track pin place the narrow end against the end of the in situ pin and give it a tap If nothing happens do the same but at the other end of the same pin,
One way or the other the pin will start to emerge, make sure the Tank is not going to drop,
Grip the emerging track pin with a pair of pliers and PULL,
If you don't have a spare track pin use a small drill bit.
When it comes to refitting the pin don't forget you put the narrow end into the track not the wide (serrated)end.
Shaun.

I just undid my sprocket, not that hard to refit it ( as it might seem) With the track still in one piece

Re: Toro Jagdtiger track removal
Up grades :-
1-paint track to look more realistic (brown over sliver)
2-Install radio equipment base plus 2m antenna
3-build body mount for rear superstructure radio base, build Star antenna
4-replace all plastic cables with steel one.
5-add battle damage to track guards and super structure
6-weather whole vehicle (mud and small amount of rust)
7-add aircraft recognition flag, pennant and unit numbers.
Well that's a start Max

Hadn't thought of that, are the side track gauards scratch built ?
And if they are what did you make them out of as I might give that
A go as well.

Klick the link under the photo ( if you havent allready
  )
Now it's just a mock up of paper, and one made of some thin alu sheet I had in the spare Box. Just to get the feel for it .
3mm brass would do the trick I quess, but DKLM RC might make them later on as photo etch' ish, so I will see how it turns out. In the end I want to have it so that I can take it on and off as I like, leaving just a few on
