The short answer is yes, but there is a little work to do to fit it properly according to one of the guys in the club. There is also my firefly kit which will be in the U.K. available for shipping in 2 weeks... :D

I found it doesn't easily fit without major surgery to the base and motors. The main problem is the height of the right motor and I had to change these out for two others but these too had to be cut down in height. The mounting holes don't match so you'll have to fashion new ones.
Finally the top was bowed and didn't sit properly on the base without some effort.
I'd say it's not for the faint hearted but with your trusty Dremel in hand it's worth the effort in the end.

Hi Brian,if it's the one from ding ding it should do as he's selling the whole tank using the top and the henglong lower hull. I think the vandra model one has issues. Andy who is selling them is a member here, might be worth asking?

For those with custom builds that don't have enough clearance for the high profile heng long gearboxes, may I suggest that you consider getting hold of a pair of low profile ones. I use Jagdpanther ones in my modified Bulldog's, they are a lot lower and allow low upper hulls to fit. If final drive shaft lengths are an issue, they can be swapped between gearboxes as they are all the same apart from the length. You can remove the final drive gear and turn it around if you have to, it's quite an easy job.

That's a nice Firefly kit by the way, there will be a lot of scratch builders looking at that and saying...why did I bother! lol.

I was under the impression that the M3 body as sold by "DING DING/HAYA" after fitting the forward section to the M3 body simply plugged in and fitted to the M4 hull.
How wrong am I ?
Shaun.
