Very cool! I like the colors and the pattern really looks good! It's very refreshing and nice to see something a little different.

Well done sir!

Any plans for weathering or will it stay factory fresh?

Andy, you definitely got some airbrush skills, Bro. Very impressive. Obiwan has taught you well.

With a paintjob like that I know you're lookin' at that monstrosity that Heng Long calls a track cable and it's just makin' ya cringe, ain't it? I did, too, pardner, when I looked at mine. In fact, at first I thought it was supposed to be a rope and I made a fantastic rope replacement, only to find out it's a danged cable! I managed to get this so far but the cable ends are still too big. I think the cable is about, right, though, and it measures out to scale.

You can tell this is an old photo because she still has the stock stickers for numbers. Since then I've done the jacking block and the tow cables, but we still need to get after those spare track links. The one piece stock links just ain't makin' it for me. I've got the metal links, just have to figure out how I want to attach them. Any ideas? Any plans for yours? Mine looks like this right now

Yes very nice as for the rodeo lasso ,yes it Defo needs sorting and yes I do have a fair few plans ,but I dont want to weather it to within an inch of its life and loose the color as I did With my Henschel KT which I think I over weathered ,A bad novice mistake but it was only my 3rd tank

Don't beat yourself up, Bro, I like the 213 a lot. That exhaust looks spot on. I like my tanks to look like they're very well maintained and kept very clean, but now we've been on campaign for at least 10 days. They get a little dirty and a few scratches here and there after that, but not too bad. Definitely don't want any of my tanks to look like they've been laying in a field somewhere for the last 60 years, eh? I'm trying to master the art of making the original colors on a tank a bit lighter, knowing the wash will make things darker. It's a tricky little line to walk.

I'll be looking forward to your plans for the "lasso" (I like that) because I still have a Panther G that needs one. In fact, that tank still has the misguided rope coil on it. On my JP I picked up some picture hanging wire and dyed it black with India ink. That seems to give it that grimy look that real cables have, no matter how well maintained.

If you want to try this wire I'm sure I could put a few feet in a birthday card and send it to you, so let me know. Hey, why not? It's free and might be just the ticket, eh? Of course, if you do come up with cable ends that are correct you'll be required to "divulge the information" (I've got this twisted thing for that bald chick in the first Star Trek flick).

So what about the spare track links? Any plans there? Yes, I'm hoping you'll have brilliant ideas so I can flagrantly and shamelessly copy all your hard work. You might want to ask one of the bears (tank or forge) if they can hook you up with some metal spare track links. I got mine on this side of the big water, so shipping wouldn't be cost effective for you at all. Maybe asiatam? I think even plastic links properly prepared would be better than the stock one piece dealie.

So what kind of guts does that cat have? I've got one pot left on this 6 channel TX so I'm thinking about a machine gun that moves back and forth by servo. That's one great looking tank you have there, Andy, and I can't wait to see what you do with it next. And maybe video? Bitte?

You're putting together one sweet TD. I have the brass dual ratio GBs and the IBU2 with the HK 6ch TX and I just love it. Drives like a dream. That's the tank in the movie I just made, and it's a great camera platform.
