Brel it sounds like you are fairly well covered in respect of "Maplins".
YHR thanks for your Tip on the maingun flash.
I haven't been into my Stug for a while and I suppose I have forgotten what it looks like. However, I think the "contact switch" that I kept referring to must be the Main gun flash switch.
So on that basis I'm beginning to get this "Stug recoil tutorial" and I'm looking forward to giving it go. So watch this space and let's see if I can get it working properly.

hi pete my p4 will no longer shoot bbs as im changeing the barrel can i take out the red led thats on the mantlet and fill in the hole

Hi Chris yes it can be removed if you wish .just join wire together to make circute. If you are fitting an I.R. battle unit I use this position for the I.R.emitter it only needs a little mod if this is what you intend to do remove the red led and fit a 6mm o/d 5mmi/d  tube that is 14mm long for the emitter this is to focus the beam make it so the end is flush with the mantle see photo when you paint put something in the tube to stop paint going in.

hi pete me again i cut the LED off went to join wires together red one broke off not sure where it goes or does it matter not bothered about it shooting bbs

found where red wire goes went to solder it back on and resister type thingy broke off will this stop tank from working

Hi the resistor is for the led to work and wont effect the tank everything should still work normaly
