Do i have to solder this new motor with resistors/capasitors as well?
Capacitors

Can a Heng Long 2.4 ghz upgrade do the trick in replacing the Rx18 board? Whare can i but a clark board?
Where are you? In the US I get my clark TK22s from Nathan at RC Tanks of OKC. You can replace the RX-18 with the 2.4 GHz but I don't know how well it will perform. You might have the same problems.

The brushes seem to be sticking on your can motors  a lot of spark looks like poor contact need to break them in water and then a good spray of WD 40 , the end shaft bushes sound like they are dry in the cans Poor quality control :/

The amount of crap that builds up in there is unreal even when you think they are new you will be surprised .
When i first bought the new gearbox does not include any capacitors, do we really need them? Why didn't they include it?

Sorry, I meant capacitors. Not sure why they didn't put them on I mean it's a 5 cent part! LOL! Just take them off the old motors. The 2.4 won't help you. That is just radio signal change. does nothing to increase amps to the motors. A clark or IBU or ASP or any other after market board will also require a hobby grade radio. I use Turnigy 9X which also allows you to operate up to 18 individual tank profiles which means you can own a whack of tanks but only need one radio to operate them all. not at one time of course!

You very slyly failed to mention the cost of 18 new receivers, One per Tank, :haha:
I am of course joking, a new control board (CLARK/ASP/IBU2) are all miles better than what is provided by TAIGEN/HENG LONG and dare I say it TAMIYA!
shaun
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

IMO...Before going through more added expense...try swapping the stock motors with the blue motors ...it will at least allow you to see if the gearboxes and running gear have any "kinks"...then if you must go back to the blue motors...at least you know the chassis is solid
With that said....if it runs good with the stock motors...I'd leave it...and save the blues for another project :D especially if they have a reputation of not jiving with the HL RX

Nope not the missing capacitors problem. I removed the capacitors from the old motors and these run fine without any engine shutdown. The capacitors did no good to the blue motors still the same causing the power cut off...
From all these i can say there are only 3 types of possibilities for the problem..
1. The RX board can cope with the blue motors.
2. The blue motros itself are the problems itself(short circuited maybe?). This happens when 2 motors are running simultaneously together.
3. The RC tanks battery is damaged or worn out already?
Well you guys out there whats your opinions then?
