Re: 1941 StuG III Ausf B
Couple of cool items in the Post today. One of which was the new flash unit for the StuG. I spent a couple of pleasant hours tonight swapping out the flash and redoing the wiring organization in the casemate. I oiled the sliding parts of the mechanism and briefly considered swapping out the trunnions for the new ones that Gene from Artistic had kindly included but since I had just got the gun working and stabilized, I left those parts alone. Testing the gun produced a loud BOOM! and a FLASH! so I'm happy with the progress so far. I oiled up the smoker with fresh fluid from Mega-Steam and screwed the deck to the lower with the two remaining screws and set the casemate into place. The major work is done now. Some fun painting and detailing to follow. Pictures:

Ad Lav,
Hello! The purpose of this build was to make a working 1/16 scale version of Tamiya's excellent 1/35 scale StuG III B. I received a partially built Tamiya StuG last year and upon finishing the kit, was really taken with the vehicle. So one Profiline resin kit and a Taigen Pz III and a bucket full of detail and parts later, I'm almost finished with the RC version of the StuG. The color will be the Panzer Grau that I have finished it in, weathered to match the 1/35 scale version. Picture:
