IBU2 Pro and Turnigy 9XR Help

Post by Fluke »

I am new to the world of RC and have bought an IBU2 Pro and a Turingy 9XR to run my Torro T34. Is there an idiots guide on how to set up the a system like mine? I have read the IBU 2 manual and have gone through the process with the dip switches on the board, but pressing various switches and pushing sticks on the Turnigy gives varying results. I can get the TARR smoker to run and in some instances I can get the tracks or sound to start up but everything seems to be intermittent. I don't think its the equipment, its more than likely down to me.

Any help given would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like you might not of configured Sounds like you might not of configured the radio to IBU2 correctly. Ideally you need all the radio channels in neutral and no mixing active, in practice it is sometimes possible to get round it by flicking every switch and rotating every knob on the control as well as moving the sticks.

Also try turning dip switch 6 off and try starting the engine with the left stick (presuming the stick/channels are correct) then when happy all works as per the IBU2 Base controls turn dip switch 6 on again now the engine start will be on the channel 5 on/off switch how ever you programmed the turnigy 9xr

Thanks for the replies.

The Turnigy came came pre-installed with the Tanker software, I haven't changed anything. It is a mode 2 transmitter and the E-limits were already turned on. What setting do you have in your in I file?

Thanks Kaiser. Things have greatly improved I can now stop and start with the smoker kicking in however the turret seems to rotate and the barrel moves up and down without input, albeit slowly. Is there any thing I should change?
