Re: new arrival to the collection
that's awesome. Metal metal! Will you reinforce the upper hull? If so can you post pictures?
I'm guessing you put the metal suspension arms for those heavy wheels. Or got the metal hull/wheel;s from tank zone - I love the molded zimmerit!
Wanted all metal for my own KT but tried to do it the hard and expensive way. I don't recommend it. I reinforced the hull with carbon strips and such but for adding metal parts you truly need the metal hull to do it right. I did get the metal tracks but without a proper suspension to put them on, they are a mismatch = far too heavy! I made a mistake since metal tracks on plastic road wheels/arms are a poor mix - (the tracks chew away the wheels little by little and the plastic susp. flex too much!) and that's what i was running. And throwing tracks constantly. (The rear idler is the key factor - it MUST run true, or as true as possible or it will certainly throw tracks.) Until I can go for the £99 tankzone hull and another £69 for the wheels (what about the axles?) out of the question, for a while anyway.
Since you have much weight to move, can i make a suggestion on the gearboxes? I've been running them in my Panther G and they work like a top. Smooth and powerful, never seen a tank coast to a stop before is all there is to say.

$50 US for these, they do have roller bearings for every gear. The blue (powder coat?) motors are powerful, the strongest i've seen in that size.

Re: new arrival to the collection
Nice choice with the Torro King Tiger, was it purposeful getting the unpainted version?
Look forward to which way you will be taking this build and what paintscheme you choose to run with.

hi marc yes did the same as you at present working on stug 111what a pain started with basic base upgraded full metal running gear metal engine hatches broke suspension arm had to order another base and start again reinstall the running gear having learnt from my mistakes decided the next one would already be installed I will look at reinforcing the upper hull when I start work on her .as to your question merlin I like to do my own painting and zim when I first noticed it on tank zones web page I like the idea saves spraying over some one else's paint scheme looking forward to working on her hence I ever get this stug finished
